Оценка трофических условий по общей биомассе фитопланктона или сестона не отражает пищевую обеспеченность кладоцерного зоопланктона и их воздействие на динамику численности популяций.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The relationship between the birthrate and biomass of different-group phytoplankton was analyzed during the summer for Daphnia cucullata and Bosmina logirostris in the mesotrophic Drysviaty Lake. The high cross-correlation coefficients were obtained for the birthrate and phytoplankton with a size from 5 to 20 µm. There is no correlation between the birthrate and seston with a size of ≤50 µm.
