<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The influence of gravistimulation on the gene expression level in tomato leaf cells at early (15 minutes – 3 hours) and late (more than 3 hours – 24 hours) stages of the gravitropic response was assessed. The sensitivity of expression of genes coding proteins associated with brassinosteroid and ethylene functioning was determined using real-time RT-PCR. The pre-treatment of tomato plants with ethephon (the source of exogenous ethylene) led to an increase in the relative level of expression of the investigated genes under gravistimulation in the plants.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>растения томата (Lycopersicum esculentum L.)</kwd><kwd>гравитропизм</kwd><kwd>экспрессия генов</kwd><kwd>фитогормоны</kwd><kwd>этилен</kwd><kwd>брассиностероиды</kwd><kwd>этефон</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum L.)</kwd><kwd>gravitropism</kwd><kwd>gene expression</kwd><kwd>phytohormones</kwd><kwd>ethylene</kwd><kwd>brassinosteroids</kwd><kwd>ethephon</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Statolith sedimentation kinetics and force transduction to the cortical endoplasmic reticulum in gravity-sensing Arabidopsis columella cells / G.
