VALIDATION OF THE DNA MARKERS EFFICIENCY IN POTATO BREEDING FOR TUBER QUALITY TRAITS

Abstract

Validation of 8 allele-specific markers associated with potato tuber quality traits (starch content and chip quality) was performed in tetraploid breeding populations of the Belarusian selection. The possibility of the DNA-based marker application for selection of genotypes with better tuber quality traits is shown.
